Happy B'day to me! ;-)

23 years of my life have moved past Today!

Life has been a roller-coaster ride all these years. I sit back and reminisce on my yesteryears and it brings a smile on my face. The childhood was so full of carefree attitude.

The birthdays used to be a festival day where I used to be the queen of my house and everyone used to take care of all my needs on that day.

My mother never used to scold me for I gave her this excuse that This is my Day, so you cannot scold me.!!! :-)

Lunch box used to have special lunch meals and extra items used to be there in the box so that my friends can relish it.

All the children used to try to get close to the b'day girl/boy as they used to think that the b'day girl/boy would give extra chocolate to them.

People used to get to know about the b'day girl/boy by the special b'day dress they used to wear.

Telling others and showing special attitude was a thing of pleasure.

I used to wait for the evening to come for my mom is preparing delicacies (the best in this world)for the fete.

All the colony friends used to come and then the much awaited cake cutting ceremony would happen.

I never used to take care of the things for my parents used to take care of it. I was only concerned for the gifts that I used to get.

And after the party, the time for the opening ceremony of the gifts. :-)

Those were the days..the best days.

I miss them.

Things have changed...

Now b'day celebration means going to a good restaurant.

Pizza/Burger has taken up the place of home made Chole Bhature.

Cold drinks and all havetaken up the place of Rasna and Roohhafza Sharbat.

The B'day girl/boy is suppose to take care of all the little intricacies and not your parents.

Mum's kiss is not there but a phone call away.

Dad's special pocket money doesn't count much now as the big salary of yours is there to spend.

I have great friends around and I know I am going to have a rocking celebration today...it is just that those childhood memories are so vivid that I felt like scribbling them.

I feel so great and a smile comes over on my face whenever I think about those festive days of my life.

Life takes its twist but alas we get used to it. :-)

Missing you Mummy-Papa and Love you loads.

And finally Happy B'day to me!!! :-)

Its going to change in few days....

Our second last paper of the last semester of our grad life got over yesterday. Just four more days for the last paper and then......the time has come-my life is going to change-completely. I will never again get the same friends, the same life.
Four beautiful years of my life and now it seems all is going to change in a blink of eye. I have made friends here....yeah friends for my whole life. I have spent some of the bestest moments of my life with them.I have seen the ups and downs of life-through my eyes as well as through the eyes of my friends.I have learnt lessons- lessons for my life which will only help me in my future. If I go in my recap mode, then I find that there were so many things that I wanted, but couldn't/didn't do. In this flashback mode, I see all the time and talks and things that I have enjoyed with my friends.

Reality is sinking in greatly.Life seems to be in the fast lane right now.

I am excited about my new life which will not be as carefree and full of fun as my present life but yeah would definitely be more challenging and exciting in its own ways. Its nothing but a mere hope or way which I have used to paint over all my apprehensions and feelings of loss.

But as they say," Life is all about moving forward, its always about to keep good old memories with you and keep moving ahead in life". This is life-you carry good old memories with you so that the past always seems like a beautiful time.

I always have kept this stand that I am not going to miss this phase of my life. But somewhere deep inside my heart, I do know that I am going to miss it for sure.

Miss you all! For you people had made these 4 years of my college life,a roller coaster ride.
Wishing all my friends and acquaintances, the best of life!

Somethings can change your life!

Hi all!!!

I am again back to the blogosphere after a long gap.
Past few days of my life were different....they were hectic...though i didn't do anything that could be considered as work...but still they were hectic....for my mind....and yeah....the phase from which I have just gone through has taught me a big lesson.....a lesson for my life....atleast good at one part. A bit messed up life which is now at peace....( atleast for the time being, it is at peace).

Hope to learn more things about this life so that they can help me in my future, because mistakes are embarassing when they happen, but years later, we have a collection of mistakes, called experience, which leads us to Success.!

Will write something interesting in the coming time.
Till then,
ciao.!

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

For the past few days, I am conversing a lot more often with some of my friends and the talks are nothing special but just usual-go-on-kind of talks.
One reason could be a few months more for my graduation. All my close buddies, would moseyed through their individual ways of life and will get scattered for varied reasons. This mere feeling of getting away from them brings shiver in my body. But again, life's like that only.
But sometimes, I wonder how casually we use this word 'Friend'? Its so natural for us to call anybody as our friend even if we have talked to that person only for once.
How do you seggregate the 'friends' who can really act as a shoulder to lean on from the ones who won't even answer your calls when you need them the most? The term 'friend' is being used pretty loosely.I mean, you enjoy talking to someone thats ok but what really counts for me is how much can I trust the person. I may not make a ton of friends that way but I know that the ones I have made, I can trust them throughout my life.
I think "making friends" isn't just about getting people to commit to you, its also about your commitment levels to them. If I care for a person, I do expect the same from the other person also. Its always about mutual understanding between two people.
I personally feel that honesty is the most important ingrediant in any relationship. If you are actually pals with someone, let that person know, if you are not, let him/her know that too.One would always be comfortable with whom one is able to connect.
And one more thing, if you feel something more other than friendship for someone, clarify it on the firstly basis.Few years down the lane, you should not have regret for not saying the thing you wanted to say.Afterall you never know, whats written there in your account!

And here the cliche is Never never compromise on your friends!

And ya, yet again I assay my aught,

Never forget....
A FRIEND is one,
who can UNDERSTAND your PAST,
BELIEVE in your FUTURE,
and ACCEPTS your TODAY.

Guess, its high time to get back to my offlate interest.[:P]

The sands of time...

Yeah, I am almost a half engineer now(results yet to come)! One and a half years more to go and I'll be a complete engineer.Never had an idea that the sands of time would move so fast and as I stroll down memory lane, I found that things have really changed, my way of taking things, my attitude towards life, towards people....almost everything. That farewell party , those starting days of my college, these are still vivid like the fresh carpet of lilac. There came situations which were a deja vu for me, for which I felt that this has happened before.
I have made F.R.I.E.N.D.S here, yes friends for life. I have seen the highs of frustration and lows in morale...:-D But, have learnt how to cope with it. I have made friends here who taught me to be happy, no matter what. Friends who taught me to handle situations which can be really tricky. Friends who help me in all matters. Friends who encourage me to do what I love. I just hope I stand upto their expectations. But apart from all this, there is also one thing that I have learnt here....You can't choose somebody to be your friend. We interact with many people on the day-to-day basis. We find some interesting and some not.Everytime we talk to them(interesting one) we get to know a fraction more about them and if our inclination towards different things is at the same angle then a natural liking for each other develops there. On the other hand, if one desperately wants someone to be one's friend then there may be the case that he/she doesn't care for you. Then, what??
We have heard of this surely," It is not the quantity that matters, it is the quality that matters." One may have hundreds of friends quantitavely but only two or three qualitatively and they are your real true friends. I am lucky that I have got some of those special friends here only.Knock the wood.
The other thing which I got to know lately is that start caring for those who care for you and not for those whom you care. You should care a person whom you like but it may be possible that at the end of the day you may lose that person who cares for you.
I have realised all these things lately...:-) Till now I have some beautiful memories in my life account to cherish them without paying any interest and more are waiting to come in my account, hopefully!
And as it goes

It seems everything has changed in a blink of eye,
But more to go as time flies by.
