You will love this!

Hey all!
I am back here in this world of blog after a long long time and the reason is I was desperate to write something(read anything) and so here I am.

I always enjoy reading poems and have tried my hands too in this field and for the past few days I am getting more inclined towards this love of mine i.e. reading and writing poems.

I always feel that only poems have that magic in their words that they can fill you with excitement, enthusiasm and thrill.Poems are my best companions. Whenever, I feel low and discouraged, they are the one who helped me out from that situation. The way one plays with the words while writing a verse excites me a lot and it gives immense satisfaction and encouragement and also a feeling that yes I have that capability in me that I can reach to that ultimate zenith and achieve whatever I want in my life.
Its nothing but the magic of those beautiful words that are binded together to make an ultimate piece of art.

Just a few days back, I read this poem.

After every solitary night,
The sun will shine bright.
All that happens is for your good,
So never ceases to give a try
For behind every dark cloud,
There is a highlighted sky!

Don't stop these tears from falling
And many will reach to wipe your sigh
In the area of pain, hearts merge
And compassion reveals it true worth
Hope always ripens into one's well being
Isn't autumn followed by spring?

Nothing great in that routine
Unless you part how will you miss?
True love strikes, when not before this eye
And as you meet, the joy will multiply.

One may swim the bat and
Still lose the game, but
Beneath the loss, there may be some gain
Only when you fall, you learn to stand
And the victory becomes truly divine.

Don't curse troubles as it teaches to pray
And once you are through you know,
There's a GOD and great is his way!

So again I repeat,
Whatever happens is for your benefit.
It's the reality of life, you can't deny
For a new soul is born,
Only when the other bids GOODBYE.

It is simply beautiful!!
Isn't it???

More than a game.

Just 3 more days to go and the much awaited ball will start rolling on June 9 in Munich with the opening match between Germany and Costa Rica. The biggest soccer event, FIFA World Cup, may just a game for some but for some football is far more than just another game.
Be it a land of Pele, Brazil or Maradona's land, Argentina or the town of downward glances football is just not a game either.
For the Marxist philosopher Janus Mazursky,"Football is a religion in Brazil, that unifies a nation ravaged by many ills." For the average Brazilians the national football players are gods and the mood of the nation rests on the performance of their star players. When it comes to soccer, Brazilians stand united despite its deep-seated equality problems and poverty, the government corruption scandals, the low salaries and unemployment. Despite of all these problems, it continues to be the world leader in football.
During the world cup, big screens will be erected in street corners and pubs, while offices will close four hours before the start of every match Brazil plays. The Sub-way Metro plans to increase the frequency of trains during that period to enable people to reach their destination.
Surely, for the next few weeks the land of Pele and Samba will run high on patriotism and festivity.

Which side you belong to?

Argentina will play against IvoryCoast on June 10 in Hamburg. Well, this will not be a must-see world cup match for most of the Germans, but in the small town of Herzogenaurach, a decades-old feud will be played out on the pitch when they meet on June 10.
This small town, known as the " town of downward glances" is a home of two famous sportswear makers, Adidas and Puma. Argentina is sponsered by Adidas while IvoryCoast is sponsered by Puma and here at this place-bitter rivals founded by two brothers who fell out almost 60 years ago and never made up.
Strangely enough, here in Herzogenaurach, the shoes you wear are the statement of which side you belong to.
For decades, life in the town has been defined by the two sports wear brands, making some places no go areas for people with the "wrong" shoes. And can you imagine, so strict is the line that locals claim even marriages between Adidas and Puma families were rare until the 1970s!
Isn't it strange?

I am sure you get the reason why its not just another game.
Its just more than a game.

The sands of time...

Yeah, I am almost a half engineer now(results yet to come)! One and a half years more to go and I'll be a complete engineer.Never had an idea that the sands of time would move so fast and as I stroll down memory lane, I found that things have really changed, my way of taking things, my attitude towards life, towards people....almost everything. That farewell party , those starting days of my college, these are still vivid like the fresh carpet of lilac. There came situations which were a deja vu for me, for which I felt that this has happened before.
I have made F.R.I.E.N.D.S here, yes friends for life. I have seen the highs of frustration and lows in morale...:-D But, have learnt how to cope with it. I have made friends here who taught me to be happy, no matter what. Friends who taught me to handle situations which can be really tricky. Friends who help me in all matters. Friends who encourage me to do what I love. I just hope I stand upto their expectations. But apart from all this, there is also one thing that I have learnt here....You can't choose somebody to be your friend. We interact with many people on the day-to-day basis. We find some interesting and some not.Everytime we talk to them(interesting one) we get to know a fraction more about them and if our inclination towards different things is at the same angle then a natural liking for each other develops there. On the other hand, if one desperately wants someone to be one's friend then there may be the case that he/she doesn't care for you. Then, what??
We have heard of this surely," It is not the quantity that matters, it is the quality that matters." One may have hundreds of friends quantitavely but only two or three qualitatively and they are your real true friends. I am lucky that I have got some of those special friends here only.Knock the wood.
The other thing which I got to know lately is that start caring for those who care for you and not for those whom you care. You should care a person whom you like but it may be possible that at the end of the day you may lose that person who cares for you.
I have realised all these things lately...:-) Till now I have some beautiful memories in my life account to cherish them without paying any interest and more are waiting to come in my account, hopefully!
And as it goes

It seems everything has changed in a blink of eye,
But more to go as time flies by.

Choice is ours

You plan to go out with your friends, an old sake calls you and asks you to fix up a meeting in the evening;you clench your fists. A colleague takes credit for your ideas;you feel cheated. You get stuck in the traffic; you start loosing your temper. You call your girlfriend to tell her you are stuck at a meeting; she bangs the phone down on you and you go red with rage.....The list is endless; the common factor is anger.

The more complicated your life gets; the more people you interact with on a daily basis, the more incidents occur that can irritate, annoy, incense, madden, infuriate, and enrage. Anger and its cousins are permanent residents of your emotional landscape.

What's the basic reason behind all these known and common reactions? The reason is people are not getting what they want; things are not in their control.

Anger is dangerous. This can devastate lives, destroy relationships, disrupt work, cloud effective thinking, and ruin futures. This can put you in depression and that depression may lead you to take any haste and dangerous step which can ruin your life and other's lives who are related to you in someway or the other.

Its not that you do not want to do anything with your anger by giving lame excuses like "I know, this is not good but still I have no control over this".But just saying this won't do anything. You need to put efforts to get rid of this or to have a good control over yourself so that you can face any facer patiently.

A little effort and self-control can make this powerfull emotion powerless. If things are going out of way and you are not in a position to grab your hands to control the situation, then the only option left is to have patience.

For some, anger fuels their blazing performance. If we bottle it up, we smoulder and erupt, it may engulf us. The choice is ours, use it as a source of change, accept it as a course corrector and you will make it powerfully powerless.

BREAKING NEWS.....

“Aaj Tak, again for the fifth consecutive year, has won the Best News Channel Award.” I know this has become month old news but I want to know what is so special in this news channel that it has again won this award?

What Aaj Tak do? It has a preference for circumlocutory the same news rather than forthright expression.

Now just take the last day incident that was on the air. ( Plz do not kill me if you are a die-hard fan of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.) I agree it was shocking news for all of us that, The King of Bollywood, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan had got admitted in the hospital. Our blessings are there with him. We all Indians adulate him like anything and no doubt it is normal for any Indian to take this news seriously. After all, for some he is a role model and his 14-15 films are there on the floor which will be on air by next year. So, definitely it was a serious matter for the public and a lot more serious for the producers of his movies in which he is working(he had a stomach ache.)

But, I am not able to understand one thing why these news channels especially Aaj Tak made this a big issue. For Aaj Tak, it was breaking news and for the whole evening till late into the night, they showed only this on their channel.

India has won the fifth ODI against South Africa in Mumbai wasn’t a big news for them. Uma Bharti again started lamenting about Shivraj Singh Chauhan being elected as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh by the members of legislative assembly and elite party members, wasn’t a big news for them. What was the BIG NEWS?-BIG B IN HOSPITAL.

Same was the case with Star News and India TV.

Arrey, doctors have said this thing already that Mr. Bachchan is perfectly alright. He came to the hospital just for the routine checkup and there is nothing to worry about that. Then, why does this MSM not want to understand this simple and little thing? And this is not for the first time that they are making a small issue a big one. Remember, that whole Greg Chappell and Sourav Ganguly issue, that wasn’t so much a big thing but finally it ended up becoming a topic for National debate, Thanks to the news channels especially these Hindi news channels.

Can anybody tell me, on what basis the news channels get these BIG NAME AWARDS?? On the other hand, the English news channels like NDTV, CNBC, and Headlines Today, who believe in telling and showing the right news in a right way and that too with forthright expression, never get any.

These Hindi news channels have caught the pulse of Indians and they know this very well that we Indians love to hear good things, to be more precise masaledar khabar.

But, one thing is for sure if you want to irritate somebody just tell them to watch these awarded channels or if you yourself want to get irritated, again watch out the same. And what would be the result? a little information and lots of painkillers for your headache…))

Occult Numbers

Secretly, many people are a little superstitious about numbers.Thirteen is unlucky; for some, Friday the 13th is an inauspicious day and there should never be 13 at table. On the other hand, three is a lucky number-except that bad luck always comes in three.!!
Many people also have their own personal lucky number: the number of the house they were born in, or a number that has proved lucky before and may bring more good fortune in the future.
Few people would admit to taking these beliefs seriously. But they are relics of the ancient and once highly regarded art of numerology- the belief that numbers hold some hidden knowledge about the world, that they can reveal the future or concealed aspects of a person's character.
Most of us have an idea how actually the numerologists find the number associated with a particular word but just to remind you all let me tell you what exactly they do. To find the number associated with a particular word, the number corresponding to the letters are added together. Each time the resulting number is more than 9, the two digits are added together. For example,if the total is 15, 1 and 5 are then added together to give 6.
According to numerologists, each number between 1 and 9 has its own significance. The number one signifies dominance and leadership; two, gentleness, kindness, and lack of ambition.Three is the most "extrovert" number, denoting intelligence, creativity, and wit.Four is the number of fairness, organisation, dependability, and attention to detail.Five is brilliance, cleverness, and impatience.Six is perhaps the "happiest" number, signifying tranquility, balance, loyality, sincerity, and conscientiousness.Seven is the number of the loner, the philosopher, the mystic.Eight represents worldly success-and egocentricity.Nine stands for the height of intellectual and spiritual achievement.
Now on this basis what numerologists suggests. They believe that when this system is applied to an individual's full name, it reveals the true nature of the personality, the characteristics that influence decisions taken throughout life.Applied to nickname, it indicates what other people think of the individual.
Well all said and done, now my question is does it really works???
As far as my case is concerned, my date of birth is 13,that so called unlucky number by the numerologists, but for me 13 is my lucky number. And how a number can reveal the true nature of one's personality???Seriously, I am not able to digest this whole number fundaa. And can you believe this system can be applied to dates as well and gives an indication of what will happen on a particular date or in a particular year. Now it is seriously bouncing off from my head.Just because it works with some, can we make it universal? But the reality is- people believe on this system like anything.Infact, their each and every future action depends on this only.
Its good to be superstitious to quiet an extent but to take each and every move with this is not good. I know, I have no rite to say these things because each one of us have different believes and ideas but still this question is.....
Finally I would say this is just a way to boost up your confidence level like ur sum is this and so you are like this and that and all that stuff and if you do like this then something good will happen with you!!!
I would say just WORK YOUR LIFE.

Sometimes Titles make no sense

Nigahen nigahon se milakar to dekho,
Nayen logo se rishta banakar to dekho.
Hasraten dil mein dabane se kya haasil hoga,
Khule honth hilakar to dekho.
Khamoshi ke gammon ke liye khwahish jaroori hai,
Ye vishwas banakar to dekho.
Jo hai dil mein us se kar do bayan,
Khud ko ekbar jata kar to dekho.
Aasmaan simat jayega tumhare aagosh mein,
Chahat ki baahein phela kar to dekho.
DIL KI BAAT BATAKAR TO DEKHO!!!

How easy it is to say "DIL KI BAAT BATAKAR TO DEKHO".Isn't it??But tell this thing to a rejected lover with sympathy(or empathy,ur wish), I m sure he would love to slap you!!!
Well, jokes apart, I know it is not that easy to express your so called "Dil ki baat" but again it is not that tough. The whole poem is trying to convey that just say whatever is there in ur mind. And I totally agree with this.
Seriously, If you have something in your heart,in your mind, doesn't matter what the issue is, just say it.It will help u only and not anyone else.It will help you to solve your problem or to be more precise "mann halka ho jayega".This life is too short to fight on trifle issues or to live with some burden on your heart.Just have this in mind and live your life to the fullest.

Keep Discovering

When did last time you did something for the first time??
Hey,its not a question that suddenly flashes in front of my eyes but is something which we should think about.
Let me tell u the origin of this question.A few days back, after a long time, I was watching the Discovery Channel, and as usual in between those irritating (not all) commercials. And then came this commercial which starts with the question "When did last time you did something for the first time?"
Do you know, what was my condition at that time?-I GOT STUCK.
Seriously,to my memory, I don't remember when did last time I did something for the first time!!And I am sure you all will also get stuck 'coz we never think (or never try to think) of these so called (for many of us) little things. We only believe in "Just Do It"..
Well, this is a case with you, with me that we always do the things which we like to do but never think of whether we are doing it for the first time or for the second time or....Infact, this question never comes in our mind.
But if we seriously think about this, then, it is just a matter of discovering yourself or we can say experimenting yourself with the first experience.
Remember those childhood days, when we always wanted to experiment with new things just to feel that satisfaction that yes we have done it.Same is the case here also. It is just that we have forgot to enjoy those lill things that mattered a lot when we were a child, we have forgot those lill, funny experiments that gave us immense pleasure and satisfaction. And the reason is-we have stopped discovering.
Believe me, its fun to do something for the first time.
So, just do it from soup to nuts and get back to your childhood days and enjoy each and every moment of your life because this life is too short.
Believe in discovering yourself and so KEEP DISCOVERING.

Nice naa....

Hey all...here is something interesting I came across while reading a novel by R.L.Stevenson.Hope you all will like .

"If beams from happy human eyes
Have moved me not;
If morning skies,
Books,and my food,and summer rain
Knocked on my sullen heart in vain:-
Lord,Thy most pointed pleasure take
And stab my spirit broad awake."

Nice naa???.....:-)

You never know....

I have realized this for quiet a few days now that things are changing. The way of accepting and taking the things, the way of judging a person in front of you and above all,my own perspective towards life has changed.
I don't know, why is this happening, may be, my fate wants me to look upon the things, like this only.
I don't know, but one thing is for sure, these all concomitants have made me more practical...seriously....:-)
Well, this is a very common thing with every normal person that he or she doesn't know how life is taking its shape.
You never know, what would happen with you,the very next moment. You never know, what type of people, you would encounter in a short span of your life. You never know, how and when someone gets hurt(intentionally or unintentionally),you never know.....
But if we look upon the positive side of this, then definitely this "YOU NEVER KNOW" would really make you realize those things which otherwise you even wouldn't try to know.
I have often heard people lamenting and complaining for things which they already have and some even do the same with what they do not have.
Saying this that I have got a bone to pick with you,is quiet easy but to say that I'll eat my hat, is really difficult because it is not an easy task to convince others,no matter how correct you are.
The situations that have arisen in past few days, have really made me to think whether I am right or wrong. But again YOU NEVER KNOW...
Quiet confused.Isn't it???

DREAMS.....

It was getting to be 4 AM in the morning.I was completely engrossed in my dreamworld, when suddenly my eyes opened....A complete darkness and silence was there both in my room and in my mind.I don't remember what had happened but something must have happened, that drove me away from my dream world.
I came out of my room in the balcony, standing there, trying to recollect my dream....And
The Moon was falling
The Sun was rising
And the darkness
Was leaving her stole...
but my mind?
What's there in that?
I don't remember...
That silence was killing me, not the one of my ambience but the one of my mind...
And then, standing there, I drove myself again into the world of dreams and reality, thinking what the dreams "are", not what the dream "was"....

DREAMS - a cherished desire, an aspiration, something wonderful....
But what if we are not able to recollect the tiny pieces of our shattered dreams?
I hardly remember a single night's dream but daydreams?
Daydreams are a part of my life.I just can't live without them as they are the source of my inspiration, my desires. They tell me where I stand in this arcane world...
They tell me, I am here coz I want to see myself there where I want to be 'coz I believe in my dreams, I live for my dreams, I work for my dreams...
Some say dreams are a fantastic but vain hope...
Quiet true, but only for those who don't know how to realize their own hopes and desires, who don't know the mere difference between DREAMS and REALITY...
Dreams are our desires, our perception, our way of accepting the things, our perspective towards the life .
And reality.....
Reality is to work on our dreams.
We do live in our dreams, we live here in this beautiful world, which itself is a REALITY, to work on our dreams....
This is just what I feel...
And now as I look at the bright red rising sun, smiling at the world, greeting the world,
I remember the words by Arundhati Roy-

There's no time to lose
I heard her say
Cash your dreams before
They slip away
Dying all the time
Lose your dreams and you
Will lose your mind.

And so I am back here into the world of reality 'coz
I have miles to go before I sleep,
Miles to go before I sleep......

SPELLOSYNDROME

How would you pronounce 'JHANKAR BEATS'?U will say what a stupid question..Ok now how would u pronounce 'GHATOTHKACH'?Again a very very very stupid question...Now one more last thing to do, just interchange 'G' and 'J'.What did u observe? The words become 'GHANKAR BEATS' and 'JHATOTHKACH',right? Now say these new interchanged words loudly and u will definitely get the difference, infact ,the same, when Mr.PyareMohan (Chupke-Chupke) had asked this question to his jijaji "If 'GO' is 'GO',then why 'TO' is '2'?"!!!
Now got it what I wanted to say?
To be more precise,I am talking about a syndrome called "SPELLOSYNDROME".
This 'SPELLOSYNDROME',an idiosyncrasy, affected one of my FRIEND so badly,in the sense, that she even didn't get the very idea, when this syndrome had attacked her cranium(basically this affects ur brain)!
Now u people will ask, what this syndrome actually do?
What happens, this syndrome first grabs ur brain and then it makes u feel so natural while u r writing that it becomes impossible to distinguish the RIGHT and the WRONG!!!
For example "mughe samagh mein nahi aaya"( I didn't get it). Here ,grammatically the sentence is correct but just check out the spelling of 'mughe' and 'samagh'.It should be 'J' instead of 'G',right?
Right, this become a habit and habit is habit!!!

SYMPTOMS

I am giving a list of alphabets which are prone to this syndrome, they are 'G','J','C','K' and 'H'(this is my observation!!)
No matter how good u r in spelling,u'll definitely do the mistakes with one of these alphabets (now it depends on person to person).
This is the only symptom...

CURE

Consult your FRIENDS whenever u do these kinda mistakes.I am sure you all must have some very caring F.R.I.E.N.D.S who will tell you what is WRONG and what is RIGHT!!!
Doctors are seriously putting their efforts but till now they haven't got any success...
Don't worry,this is curable and it won't affect u badly.Just be careful while u r writing and that's it...
So cheers and be happy...

Last but not the least,do thank your FRIEND in a very special MANNER!!!!

U just can't live without them...

We inherit our relatives by birth;friends ,we earn by choice.May be the very reason a handful of friends count much more than a cent relatives.
A feeling of love, moments of caring, stupid fights, shoulders to cry,to be together in pain,an ear to listen,a voice to comfort,a bond to cherish,a shoulder for support.A relation that knows no boundaries, one that supersedes all dissimilarities. That's what FRIENDSHIP is all about.
Today,as we look back upon this wonderful relationship, glimpses of many a memorable moments fly by our eyes.Times we were flat broke, and our pals came to our rescue, bunked classes just to watch stupid movies, going to theater just after the first paper of the end sem, accepted calls in the middle of the night,a big party for a very small achievement and many more...
Well, right now I still hv two more years to enjoy all this before leaving my college but ya the memories will always be there to cherish. As the famous quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson goes:"It is one of the blessings of old friends that u can afford to be stupid with them."
Such is the value of true friends that somebody once remarked,"Love is rarer than genius itself. And friendship, rarer than love."
