Wake up.....

He has just finished writing up his last exam of the last semester of the college. He thinks that he is the king of this world. No work but party hard is his mantra of life. He has a group of friends on which he can lean upon anytime, anywhere. He is not-so-spoiled son of a rich-dad!He is amazingly charming and handsome. He prefers playing video games and downloading car wallpapers in his age of early 20s when all other guys of his age prefer watching .....!!!But there is a problem. And the problem is He is clueless, aimless with no aspirations and dreams or rather he has never a given thought on what vocation he should choose after the graduation. And so here it is, ours truly- Siddharth Mehra a.k.a Sid. Like every Abhishek or Abhilasha in this country is Abhi, Aishwarya is Aish, Sandeep is Sandy, our Siddharth is Sid.

You must be wondering, this is yet another review, by yet another random blogger, of the movie. But let me make myself clear.I am not going to write a detailed review of the movie for the movie reviews have already topped the chart. I am here to tell what and how I felt after watching it

Wake up Sid! directed by the debutante Ayan Mukerji is one such refreshing story which would take us to the riveting journey of our yesteryears. We see a glimpse of ourselves in this movie. Every single person can relate with one or the other character of this movie. Some could relate to Sid, some to Aiysha, some to Rishi, some to Tanya. Our mothers could relate themselves to Sid's mother, father to Sid's father, neighbors to Aiysha's neighbor and like. It has everything in it. It has portrayed all the relationships, be it Father-son, mother-son, with neighbors, with friends, with employer, with children, and most importantly our relationship with our own life,so beautifully and clearly that one would wonder at times, isn't it our life. It has covered everything.

Such a simple script yet so refreshing. I loved each and every part of it.
It is one such movie which leaves you dumbstruck, when you come out of the theater and you don't utter a single word. To be very frank, I revisited the memories of RDB and Taare Zameen Par. I am not saying the movie is on the lines of the above mentioned movies but the feeling was in line with them.

Totally amazing and a must watch for our generation.
Go for it!

Truly the most refreshing movie of this year. A very uncomplicated story depicted in the most innovative way. All emotions touched but not going overboard. Certainly made me realize so many aspects of my relationship with people around me and as you pointed out rightly my relationship with my inner self.
Kudos to the Wake up Gang and to the wonderful review.
